LiveStage:Lab

Step into the spotlight with LiveStage:Lab, a free workshop series at Folken, one of Stavanger’s premier live music venues, designed to teach you the essential skills of the live music industry. You will learn about live sound and lighting design, stage production, concert management, stage presence, and more, directly from industry experts and on professional equipment. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or looking to work behind the scenes, this is your chance to build confidence in live productions, connect with the local live scene, and take your skills to the next level. Spaces are limited—sign up today and start your journey!

LiveStage:Lab is open to everyone over the age of 16 who has an interest in live stage productions. It is 100% free (registration required) for everyone aged 16-25, and costs 550kr for the semester for anyone aged 26+, and this includes a membership to Urban Hands. Most events are held on Tuesdays from 18:00-19:30 (unless otherwise stated) at Folken (Løkkeveien 24), and a few will be held at Zonal Cultural Center in Storhaug (Johannes gate 21). There are 3 longer workshops on Saturdays, which will last 4-5 hours each, and the course ends with Folken’s production at Musikkfest in June.
Registration for LiveStage:Lab is full for the Spring semester 2025. Stay tuned for updates about the next round!
